It doesn’t happen every season, but sometimes a move occurs in the NFL that changes the power rankings completely. This year in just over a month, this offseason has produced multiple massive moves. These are not just smaller trades either. These moves have set some teams up to go from a bottom-ranking team to a Super Bowl contender. These are all the most significant moves so far in the NFL offseason and how they have impacted the league’s power rankings.
The Broncos are BACK!
You heard that right. The Broncos are indeed back. After one of the greatest Quarterbacks of all time, Peyton Manning retired from the Broncos; the team has not found a solid replacement. They have shuffled through countless players trying to find someone to fill the hole, and none have done the job. After all, it is not easy to fill the shoes of Peyton Manning. However, the Broncos team has remained solid despite this issue. The team has continued fueling up with youngsters set to be prominent players in the NFL for the next decade, and now they are ready. The Broncos completed a trade that included Quarterback Drew Lock, Defensive Tackle Shelby Harris, Tight End Noah Fant, and some draft picks going to Seattle. In return, the Broncos receive Quarterback Russel Wilson. Wilson is one of the league’s most prominent Quarterbacks. He brings a winning mentality and play style to a Broncos team desperate for a leader under center. If he stays healthy, Wilson can quickly get the Broncos to the playoffs, with a good chance of potentially making the Super Bowl. Wilson has performed well with a lackluster team around him in recent years, and now he has weapons to work with in Wide Receivers Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton. So, to summarize, the Broncos are back, and they should be feared.
Woke up feeling Dange-Russ. 😎

Chargers charging up on Defense
The AFC West continues to get more intense as the Broncos are not the only team making moves this offseason. The Chargers have bolstered their Defense by trading for one of the most feared linebackers in the NFL, Khalil Mack. Mack brings an aggressive playstyle to a team that likes to keep opposing Quarterbacks on the ground. Defensive End Joey Bosa has expressed how excited he is to be playing with Mack, and he should be. Mack on the team could bring focus away from shutting Bosa down. This would leave him open more often to make plays on the defensive side of the ball. This also goes both ways. It becomes tough to block everyone when you have two highly talented players playing on the defensive side. Expect a career year for one, if not both, of these players.

The Seahawks are changing but not rebuilding
The Seattle Seahawks are in an interesting spot. They just traded Quarterback Russel Wilson to the Broncos for a solid return. Coming from the Broncos, Quarterback Drew Lock will fill the Quarterback position. But, the Seahawks now have another hole to fill after releasing All-Pro Linebacker Bobby Wagner. Wagner has had much success with the team, winning a Super Bowl in his years in Seattle. He is a beloved player for Seattle, and their fans are devastated to see him go. Losing a player like Bobby Wagner will make your team worse overall, but the Seahawks are determined not to rebuild. In their eyes, this is just a tiny change. This should mean that more moves are on the way for Seattle as they now need to bolster their lineup if they still plan to compete in their division.
Thank you for everything 💙 https://t.co/NUKLu0mxdi

Packers retain their key pieces
The biggest question on Packers fans’ minds is about Aaron Rodgers & Davonte Adams. Both players have previously expressed some interest in leaving the team. It seemed like Rodgers would be headed to the Broncos at some point. Adams has also previously stated that he wishes to go where Rodgers goes as he “is my quarterback.” Packers fans can now breathe as Rodgers has confirmed he is staying with the team. This should also mean that the Packers will retain Adams as well. This is huge for the Packers as losing these two would take their team from a Super Bowl contender to a playoff hopeful. Rodgers is fresh off yet another MVP season, and Adams somehow seems to get better year after year. These two together are a dangerous duo on any team, but they will remain Packers for now. It was reported that Rodgers specifically signed the most lucrative contract in NFL history, but the man himself shot down those reports.
Hey everyone, just wanted to clear some things up; YES I will be playing with the @packers next year, however, reports about me signing a contract are inaccurate, as are the supposed terms of the contract I “signed”. I’m very excited to be back 💪🏼 #year18❤️

Commanders have a new sheriff in town
Washington has more than just a new name going into this upcoming NFL season. The newly named Washington Commanders now have a new Commander under center in Carson Wentz. Wentz has seen his career go downhill since leaving the Eagles franchise. At one point, he was touted as one of the new young studs in the NFL. Now, he remains a solid Quarterback that has never been able to live up to the hype. The thing with Quarterbacks is that sometimes all it takes is the right system to make one play at a high level. There is no way to tell if this will be the case, but Commander fans hope he can excel in a team desperate for some offensive juggernauts.
