Zellers has officially relaunched its retail chain across Canada. In London, the launch happened on the upper levels of The Bay at White Oaks Mall.
“I love it, I’m so excited, I couldn’t sleep last night waiting for this day to come and have been looking forward to this for a very long time,” says Mariam one of the first shoppers at the launch. “Bring the old Zellers back, the diner, food trucks, the Zeddy points,” she says “Hopefully down the road they’ll bring it all back just like the good old days.”

At the launch live music could be heard, giveaways were happening and many happy customers were wandering the store. Everybody enjoying the comeback of one of the most beloved chains.
“This means a lot to me. I’m a low-income senior and to have that availability across the board, and not having to shop at just one store makes a big difference. I can’t afford to shop at The Bay but I can now afford to shop at Zellars,” Miriam explains.
Other customers like Theresa and Cathy were hoping to see more people at the launch but are happy to have the store back in the city. “We want to see those great compatible prices again and we are happy to see Zeller’s back again,” said Theresa.
This is just the new beginning for Zellers with a bigger project to come in the near future and big expectations from the customers.
