Strong winds are expected as well that’s coming this weekend in the London-Middlesex region. According to a special weather statement by environment Canada, the precipitation will also likely bring a brief moment of snow too.
The freezing rain will be coming in tomorrow morning and a thunderstorm will follow along from it in the afternoon. The strong winds are expected to get up to 70 or 80 km/h throughout all of Saturday. The combination of strong winds and any ice build-up may lead to local power outages, according to the special weather advisory.
Times remain uncertain on when the storm will hit and the location of where the storm will specifically hit is still unknown. Strathroy, Komoka, Western Middlesex County will also get strong winds up to 70 or 80 km/h. The winds will likely last for a few hours before easing Saturday evening, according to the special weather advisory.
There is also a 60 percent chance of rain or flurries Saturday evening as well following from the freezing rain and strong winds. Story will be updated as more information is released.
