The small Ontario community of West Lorne has won the 2023 Kraft Hockeyville title after a Canada wide vote that began Friday morning. With the win West Lorne will receive $250,000 for arena upgrades and the rights to host a 2023 NHL preseason game.
As seen in this picture a local school played host to the watch party as NHL Commisioner Gary Bettman crowned the winning community on Hockey Night In Canada with West Lorne being the only Ontario community.
West Lorne went up against Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Ste, Anne, Manitoba and Saint Anselme, Quebec.
West Lorne is the first Ontario community to win Kraft Hockeyville since Lucan won and hosted the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators in 2018.
