Connie Walker is an award-winning Cree investigative journalist from the Okanese First Nation, who has spent over 20 years shining a light on violence and intergenerational trauma in Indigenous communities. She is best known for hosting the podcasts Missing & Murdered and Stolen: Surviving St. In 2023 she made history when Stolen became the first podcast to win both a Pulitzer Prize and a Peabody Award in the same year.
On Wednesday June 11, 2025 she received an honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) and delivered the keynote address at Western University's Spring convocation in London, Ontario, encouraging graduates to embrace truth, resilience, and reconciliation.
