London police are investigating after three men were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds following an early morning shooting in the city’s north end on Sunday.
Emergency crews responded to the 700 block of Adelaide Street North around 5:45 a.m. after receiving reports that a man had been shot. Officers found one victim with serious but not life-threatening injuries. He was treated at the scene before being taken to the hospital.
A short time later, police say two more men arrived separately at the hospital with gunshot wounds. One of them remains in critical condition, while the other has serious injuries that are not life-threatening.
Investigators believe all three men, two from London and one from Oshawa, were hurt in the same incident near Adelaide Street North and Piccadilly Street.
Police say a vehicle left the area after the shooting and was later found near Boullee and Cheapside streets. The vehicle was empty, and no suspects were located.
Members of the London police major crime section have taken over the investigation. Officers have released images of two vehicles, a silver or grey Ford Escape and a silver or grey Genesis G70, that were seen dropping off victims at the hospital.
