Police have identified the victim of a fatal crash in northwest London on Tuesday morning as Dr. Agron Alija, 62, a local family physician and associate professor at Western University.
Emergency crews were called to Fanshawe Park Road West, west of Pinnacle Parkway, at 8:25 a.m. for a two-vehicle collision. Dr. Alija was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle, an adult male, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
Fanshawe Park Road West was closed for several hours as police investigated. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and anyone with dashcam footage is asked to contact London police.
