The local music event called INDUSTRY NIGHT at Honey Dip Bar has been open since 7 pm on Nov. 10.
Robin Henry is one of the owner of Honey Dip Bar. Henry says the event is a place for people to connect from the music industry.
“My role at Honey Dip is to provide a space for people to connect with one another and hopefully start some dialogue,” Henry said. “So we can really make the music scene something special.”
Eleanor Gebrou is a singer who appeared on INDUSTRY NIGHT.
Gebrou’s soulful sound and powerful voice have made her a standout in London’s music scene, and she expressed her feelings about the event is about, “I’ve been busy in my mind, and so I did a little bit of a warm-up, and now I’m feeling much better, more relaxed.”
“It’s an opportunity to connect with people in London and community, and I’m always happy to do that, so I’m happy to be here,” Gebrou said.
Honey Dip Bar has been open now for only four months but it had over 70 events.
“So we’re doing events three, four times a week, including this weekend, we have Old East Village Sound Collective doing a performance,” Henry added. “We’ve got punk shows, art, drag shows. Really, this is meant to be a space for people to get together and dance and have a nice time.”
INDUSTRY NIGHT was held until 9 pm, and participants had fun with Gebrou’s songs.
