The Toronto Blue Jays are reportedly in agreement with right-handed pitcher Cody Ponce.
The deal was first reported by Ken Rosenthal.
The terms of the contract are a three year deal worth $30 million.
Ponce last pitched in the MLB in 2021 with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
He has spent the last four years in the Nippon Professional Baseball League (NPB) and the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO).
Ponce last year took home the 2025 KBO MVP award.
His stats last year in the KBO were
- He had a record of 17-1
- 180.2 innings pitched
- 1.89 ERA
- He also won the pitching triple crown
Ponce is the second pitcher the Blue Jays have signed this offseason as they signed Dylan Cease to a 7 year $210 million dollar deal that became official yesterday.
