This week is a very quiet week for London sports with local Hockey being the only sports for this weeks local slate.
Those games include:
London Knights
Games:
At Niagara IceDogs, Thursday, December 11th, 7:00 P.M, Meridan Centre
Vs Saginaw Spirit, Friday, December 12th, 7:00 P.M, Canada Life Place
The Knights are still playing .500 hockey as they are 5-5 in their past 10 games with a current 16-10-3 record. However, player Jaxon Cover has been red great recently securing 10 points in his last 10 games.
The Knights had only 11 losses last season.
The Knights did lose a lot of key pieces in the offseason which include Easton Cowan, Denver Barkey, and Landon Sim just to name a few.
This is the first time this season that the Knights and IceDogs are facing off against each other this season.
In the last 5 years the Knights have a 5-1 record against the Ice dogs.
The Knights have seen the Spirit twice this season with the Sprit winning the first game 4-2 and the Knights bounced back and won the second game 8-5.
London Nationals
Games:
Vs Komoka Kings, Wednesday, December 10th, 7:00 P.M, Western Fair Sports Centre
At Stratford Warriors, Friday, December 12th, 7:30 P.M, William Allman Memorial Arena.
The Nationals have been red hot recently with them riding a 5 game winning streak with a 7-3 record in their past 10 games. A big part of their success has been player Max Mews playing great Hockey. He has 11 points in his past 8 games.
The Nationals faced off against the Kings once this season where the Nationals came out victorious with a 5-4 win. The Kings have a 6-17-2 record on the season.
The game against the Warriors is a extremely tough game as they are 16-3-1 on the season with them riding a 9 game winning streak.
The two teams faced off against each other earlier this season with the Nationals winning the first game 4-1 and the Warriors won the second game 4-2.
