Groundhog Wiarton Willie predicts an early spring, this means that the cold days of winter will be over before you know it.
This prediction from Willie came this morning, other areas of Canada are in for an extra long winter but our location of Ontario is going to be warmer a bit earlier in the next coming months.
What does this mean for London? Well this means that the snow will be melting a lot sooner than expected and the roads will be a lot safer to drive on.
But how do people who have to work outside feel about this prediction? As we know, working outside in these conditions isn’t the easiest job in the world and XFM asked a local crossing guard in London Ben, about Their thoughts on working in these harsh conditions.
They said ” I hope it’s true its been cold, colder than the last few winters we’ve had. and working outside I’m exposed to it a lot more, I’m double layering and the kids aren’t enjoying it as much either, even the ones who claim they like winter.”
Safe to say that being outdoors working in these conditions is a hard task and as the weather gets colder, Ben even noticed that a lot of parents who frequent the crosswalk near the school with their children have opted to drive their kids to school rather than walk.
