As of now, the president of Burger King, Tom Curtis has released a phone number where you can reach him directly in Canada and the United States.
“There’s nothing like hearing from guests firsthand, so I’m excited to have an even greater opportunity to have live open and honest conversations, ask questions, and see how we can create an even better Burger King together.” said Curtis.
Burger King is known for taking customer feedback seriously. For example, a customer service phone number being posted on their napkin dispensers.
Curtis will be taking as many phone calls as possible and every message received will be reviewed and responded to according to Burger King’s newsroom.
“As the home of Have It Your Way, guests are our most important advisors. We’re grateful that they provide the feedback that is shaping our brand today and in the future,” said Curtis.
While not being the first big public figure to release their phone number, for example Premiere Doug Ford, listening to the voice of customers could bring good things to Burger King as a whole.
While potentially bringing a lot of good to the Burger King name, there could also be some drawbacks from this strategy.
“What they have to be careful about is managing customers expectations, and in terms of ‘I shared my feedback but nothings changed.’ So giving timelines and that sort of thing so there are some risks involved for sure with this kind of campaign,” said public relations expert, Jackie Westelaken.
She said it’s something that we need right now in the market in terms of hearing from people and being creative.
Curtis will be attempting to answer calls for at least 4 hours every day.
