A London judge has found a Brampton man guilty of aggravated assault Thursday in relation to a shooting in Richmond Row back in Aug. 2023.
Justice Lynee Leitch found 33-year-old Romone Bowen of Brampton guilty of three charges, including aggravated assault.
On Aug. 17, 2023, police responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot off Mill Street in Richmond Row, where Andrew Kanoum was shot.
Video surveillance footage, along with cell phone data collected from the scene, was entered as evidence, which placed Bowen at the scene that day.
On the same day, police arrested and charged Jerome Walcott with multiple offences, including robbery.
Justice Leitch said that Walcott’s pre-trial testimony ultimately satisfied her that Bowen was the shooter.
Justice Leitch will sentence Bowen on Apr. 2.
