After 26 years of play, celebrating milestones and making memories, London’s beloved Adventures on Wonderland is set to close on Mar. 22 as owner Barb Fergia prepares to retire.
“After the pandemic, we did not come back anywhere close to the revenue that we were making prior,” she said.
“It’s kind of horrible and bittersweet.”
Fergia said the most rewarding part of the past 26 years has been watching young staff members get their first jobs.
For many families, the closure marks the end of an era.
“We’ve been coming here for probably 25 years, we brought our two sons here, and now we’re on generation number two with our grandchildren,” said grandparent Margaret Lamb.
Parents said they hope whatever comes next will continue to serve local families.
“I grew up coming here all the time, and now I have my next generation here. It’s definitely sad for the London community,” said Alyssa, a parent.
