London is getting a new chicken spot in town.
The famous Dave’s Hot Chicken restaurant is opening right in front of Westmount Mall. The opening date is yet to be determined but the storefront has been completed.
Dave’s Hot chicken was launched back in 2017 in Los Angeles by four childhood friends. They came up with a simple concept: take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America.
Just four years later, Canada opened it’s first Dave’s Hot Chicken spot located in the neighbourhood of Parkdale in Toronto.
Now, Canada has 15 locations with 11 located in Ontario—five of those calling Toronto home.
The closest Dave’s Hot Chicken to London is located at 2960 Kingsway Drive in Kitchener.
Dave’s Hot Chicken, however, has gotten mixed reviews as many say the menu is “overpriced” and the chicken is “alright.”
Reddit user @darksideoflondon says “I travelled to one of these outside Toronto recently. It was mid tier at best. Tenders were, decent, fries were meh, the drink was the best part of the meal.”
This is just one of the many new food chains that London has received in recent times as the city recently opened a Wingstop and additionally have plans to add a Crumbl Cookie location in the city.
