The Province of British Columbia will introduce a permanent year-round daylight saving time this Sunday with the clock moving forward by an hour.
This decision reduces interruption of citizens with their sleep patterns, streamline administrative schedules and provides an extra hour of evening light during the winter months.
People and businesses will have eight months to prepare for the removal of the next time change.
Most provinces and territories, including Ontario, are subject to daylight saving time from March 8 to November 1.
