There were three people charged Friday in a fight after a fight broke out on CF Masonville Place food court Friday night, London police said.
Police say officers were called at the Richmond Street Mall around 8 p.m. on March 27 to a disturbance at that time.
Investigators said a man pushed a woman to the ground and hit her in the face. Two people in passing came alongside but both were assaulted. One was threatened, and the other was physically attacked.
There was then a second person who kicked one of the bystanders, and then a third person shoved one of the victims.
Three people have also been charged.
Connor William Lin, 20, of London, has been charged with three counts of assault, making threats of death or bodily harm and obstruction of a peace officer. Cortney Bagyan, 21, of London, is charged with assault and accessory after the fact to commit an indictable offence. A 16-year-old London girl, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is also charged with assault.
The accused and the alleged victims did not know each other, police said.
One person suffered only minor injuries. Two others did not, and all were unharmed.
Sandra Lorentiu, general manager of retail operations at CF Masonville Place, has said
“The safety and security of our guests and personnel remain our highest priority and we are fully cooperating with London Police Service as they conduct their ongoing investigation. Given this is now part of an ongoing investigation, we defer all questions to LPS.”
Lin is due to appear in London court Monday morning. Bagyan will be in court April 27.
