London’s annual resident satisfaction survey has begun. Through a random selection, the city says that they will call five hundred Londoners and ask about what they like and don’t like about London.
The Survey started on September 15 and will consist of questions regarding the quality of life in London, as well as their sense of belonging to the community, and their perception of the quality of life in London. This is London’s 10th annual survey to discover what people want improved in the City of London.
“[In] 2025, the top issues were in the areas of housing and homelessness, traffic and mental health and drug addiction.” Said Trevor Fowler, the director of strategy, innovation and economic development.
“I would expect relative consistency in terms of the issues and level of satisfaction,” said Fowler. “The trend line for the past three or four years has been fairly consistent. Based on past trends, things have been relatively stable the past few years.”
Nine months into 2026, it seems that there are some new issues at the forefront of people’s minds.
“Downtown for sure.” said Nazar Vuyiv, a Fanshawe student. “They [London] need to make it prettier and safer, especially for people at nighttime.”
“Something I want to see improved in London is the construction.” said Elizabeth Miller, another Fanshawe student. “It’s like they set up these construction zones everywhere and block them off and only work at them one at a time.”
The results of the survey will be published on the City of London website in December of 2026.
