It’s that time of year again. Student’s are busy preparing their post secondary school applications, it’s crunch time in the last semester of the school year. With exhausting amounts of admissions papers, and making decisions for the following school year many students are finding themselves stressed around this time. Student advisors are reminding post secondary students to ask for help when they need it.
Transitioning between first and second semester can be a big deal, especially for first year college and university students. The Success advisors at Fanshawe College notice the common problem with students transitioning between semesters is that they have changed their minds about the program they are in and sometimes it’s already too late to make any changes.
Advisors say the best thing to do is try your best to make it through the semester,if completing the course is realistic enough. Looking at other options is a last resort, as the advisors say most student’s don’t understand how a failure will impact them in the future.
