The hunt is on for a man wanted in connection with a evening home invasion in London.
Police have issued an arrest warrant for 43-year-old Paul Wayne O’Connell of Newbury, ON. He is wanted for break and enter to commit robbery and robbery.
It happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday when a man knocked on the door of a Trafalgar St. home. When the resident answered the door that when police say he forced his way in assaulting the resident and stealing the man’s medication.
The victim suffered minor injuries and did not need medical attention.
O’Connell and the victim do know each other.
London Police Const. Ken Steeves confirms to XFM News O’Connell has been arrested in the past.
XFM has learned O’Connell was arrested following a high-profile police chase in London, ON in August 2009 which saw 19 bullets being shot by police. O’Connell was not hit by any of the bullets, but in 2010 O’Connell was sentenced to a 4-year prison term after the crime spree.
O’Connell is described as white, 6’2″, 190lbs with short receding brown hair.
Police say he is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
