The 45th President of the United States has been officially sworn into office, and it caused a stir around North America.
Women’s march was a protest of rally against Donald J. Trump becoming the President. They were held all over the States and as well as Canada with the biggest one being in Washington D.C. with 500,000 people attending.
That didn’t stop Londoners from gathering at Victoria Park with their own rally as well.
At the march, one of the participators by the name of Judith said what she felt when she watched the inauguration “sick, I felt sick to my stomach, I didn’t want to watch it but it was being shown were I worked, it was just nauseating.”
However, there was one Trump support at the march that shared a different view “as somebody that supports him, I thought it was a speech that showed the perspective of being true of what he was going to do, i thought that he was going to reach out to people and letting them he wasn’t interested in a feel good story” said Mike van der Maas.
Chayla Halbeerstam, a demonstrator who brought her 2 children out says “It is important to stand in solidarity with the majority of Americans who did not support Donald Trump’s presidency” and continues to say “It becomes even more important to impart [messages of love rather than fear] to my sons.”
