If you are panicking about what your kids are going to do over March Break, there are lots of educational options in the city.
Museum London has an art day camp for kids during March Break focusing on the environment.
The camp is based around the Nature London Exhibition. Kids will have the opportunity to create their own art from recycled materials, inspired by the art work they see.
Curator of public programs at the museum, Diane Pierce says this week long day camp is a comfortable environment even for shy children. “The kids that are really outgoing are fine, they can work in groups and everything but we’ve had lots of success with children who tend to be quieter and are looking for different ways to express themselves.”
Piece says the kids love it, and it keeps parents happy too. “Parents love it because the kids learn a lot. Its not just being in the studio drawing and painting all day, the day is really broken up, they do a lot of activities and there is a strong learning component.”
Pierce says that the kids have fun while putting their critical thinking skills to use by learning and recreating work about nature.
