A 37-year old man has been arrested for drug-impaired driving after he hit a vet clinic early this morning.

The clinic is located in the area of Adelaide Street and Central Avenue.

Police received a call around 3:50am regarding a hit-and-run incident, and found the suspect driving a white Mazda van.
`
Inside the car, police found a loaded handgun and substance that is believed to be crystal meth.
`
As a result of investigations, Raymond Wilson of London was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act offences:

- Use/handle/store firearm carelessly
- Possess firearm while prohibited
- Possess prohibited/restricted weapon
- Occupy motor vehicle with firearm
- Possess loaded regulated firearm
- Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
- Possess Schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking
