London police were contacted by the Canadian Border Services Agency about a suspicious package addressed to London.
A search warrant was acted upon at a residence on Shelborne Street and a self-storage facility. The following was seized:
-A Glock 9mm firearm
-Two over-capacity magazines
-Various handgun parts and pieces
Derek Denesevich is charged under the criminal code offences:
-possession prohibited/restricted firearm, Section 92(1)
-two counts of possess prohibited device, Section 92(2)
-importation without being authorized to do so under the Firearms Act, Section 104(2)
-conspiring with another person to commit the indictable offence of importation of a restricted/prohibited firearm, Section 465(1)(c)
