Two Woodstock men have been charged in relation to trafficking fentanyl.
On January 24, the Woodstock Police Service Criminal Intelligence teamed up with Drug Enforcement Unit for an fentanyl investigation.
Police arrested and charged 37-year-old Matthew Broughton of Woodstock.
Broughton has been charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking,
- Fail to Comply with Probation
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
29-year-old Anthony Armstrong of Woodstock, has also been charged with the following:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Fail to Comply with a Recognizance.
The investigation resulted in the seizure of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and Canadian currency.
The combined street value is approximately $24 thousand dollars.
