Apple Land Station has been spreading the love of apples with their community since 1986 when Farmer Ernie and his staff harvested their first crop.
Ernie Muzylowsky, Owner and Engineer of Apple Land Station, grew up with apples being a staple in his family. Muzylowsky wanted to buy a couple acres of land, and after he realized how expensive it was, he ended up buying 50 acres and turned it into the wonderful establishment he has today!
Farmer Ernie says, “We are an experience farm, they (people) can experience that taste of the apples, and they can experience the beauty of the farm.” The orchid farm has evolved from just apples to a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, an animal station and more.
Apple Land Station isn’t just an entertainment farm, but is also an educational facility for youth says Ernie, “Us farmers have a responsibility to let these children know that we are the front line soldiers of the health care system. We produce safe quality food here in Canada. If parents and teachers could teach kids to have a well balanced diet, it would save our health system a lot of money.” Farmer Ernie loves seeing young people come to his farm, even college and university students.
Apple Land Station will be open all weekend, including Thanksgiving Monday.
