The London Lightning defeated the Windsor Express 99-98 at Budweiser Gardens. The Lightning are coming an east coast trip where they finished 3-1. The lightning are currently 4-2 on the season.
Mo Bolden had a stellar game for the Lightning he finished with 28 points and 15 rebounds he also added 4 blocks on night. Bolden was a staple in getting the offense going when it was stagnant and ultimately shot 11-18 for the game with 4 three pointers. Bolden said postgame that he wanted to change his focus going into the game “The road trip was a big wake up call for all of us I told coach I can bring more to the table, I am getting older and I have to take that responsibility” Bolden also said that he has been in the gym working and as a result made 4 threes on the team by far the most.
The Express had a chance to win the game with three point specialist Ryan Anderson who passed up the three to Horace Wormely Head coach Keith Vassell said that his is glad Anderson did not attempted the shot “100% Ryan is clutch, Ryan is heck of a player so he has established himself as one of the best three point shooters in the league, I don’t know if there has been anyone else better” he also says that the Windsor London rivalry is alive and well.
The London Lightning play against Saturday against the St. John’s Edge tipoff is for 7pm and Budweiser Gardens
