A London man has been arrested following a sexual interference investigation.
London Police say a 37 year-old woman is in custody after a car was involved in multiple collisions last night damaging hydro poles and a property.
They say a car was seen about 10:15 pm travelling northbound on Wharncliffe Road from Oxford Street after striking a fire hydrant nearby. The vehicle continued northbound on Western Road and ultimately travelled northbound on Richmond Street towards Sunningdale Road, police said.
London Police was contacted by witnesses in the area in relation to the driver’s action. After a short pursuit, police tell the car drove onto the shoulder of the road, struck a hydro pole causing the power lines to fall, and landed on its roof.
The driver was removed from the vehicle with no injuries, police added.
Tracy L McNaughton, 37, remains in custody and faces several charges including impaired exceed blood alcohol concentration, fail to stop at scene of accident, fail to stop for police and others.
The accused is expected to appear in London court today.
Richmond Street near Thirteen Mile Road is currently closed in both directions for an ongoing investigation.
