
When the state of emergency began all London libraries were closed. With the slow reopening of businesses the library will offer a pickup service starting June 8th. The service will only be available at select branches to start, with more branches opening later on. All buildings will remain closed to the public.
Books that are put on hold can be picked up Monday to Thursday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday between 10am and 1pm.
Below is a list of when each branch wil be opened.
June 8th:
- Beacock Branch Library
- Byron Branch Library
- East London Branch Library
- Jalna Branch Library
- Masonville Branch Library
June 15th:
- Bostwick Branch Library
- Crouch Branch Library
- Landon Branch Library
- Pond Mills Branch Library
- Stoney Creek Branch Library
June 22nd (Tentative):
- Central Library
Pick up at the Cherry Hill and Sherwood Branches will not be available until malls are able to re-open. Due to distancing limitations the Carson and Lambeth Branches will not be open for pick up or returns.
The library will also be accepting returns at branches that are open. Items that were due during the closure will be due back on June 30th. The library has increased the borrowing period to four weeks and there is now an auto-renew function that can be renewed for an extra three weeks up to three times. The auto renew function will only be available if the item is not on hold by someone else.
The library asks that if you are returning a borrowed item that you do not clean or disenfect it. This could cause damage to the items and you will be charged for a replacement. Returned items will be quarinted for 3 datys before they are lent out again. Returns will only be accepted through the return shoot.
