Anti-vaccine protesters briefly disrupted a TVDSB meeting at Louise Arbour French Immersion Elementary School Tuesday evening. Around 15 minutes into the scheduled live stream, the sounds of protesters can be heard loudly yelling and banging on the windows of the school where the meeting took place. A recess was called during the meeting, and police arrived to handle the situation. Seven police cars and multiple police officers guarded the doors from the protesters, refusing entry.
This recess only lasted around 15 minutes before the meeting continued. The meeting itself was one that focused on the COVID vaccine, and if it should be added to the list of compulsory vaccines for students of all ages. This subject was changed when it was said that London Ontario’s chief medical officer is currently looking into the issue.
Later in the meeting, a decision was made to allow a forum to gather public input and information on current COVID related issues (including the possibility of compulsory vaccines).
