There are six weeks left in the NFL regular season, and every game matters as teams fight for their playoff lives. Divisions like the AFC West and AFC East remain close with no clear leader. Award campaigns are also starting to take shape as the question of who the MVP will be, begins to be more predictable. As a result, this week will likely produce some memorable and exciting games that could set the table for the remainder of the season. These are the five NFL games you need to see this weekend.
Vikings vs. Lions – Can the Lions win a game?
The Lions have yet to win a game this NFL season. But the last time the Lions and Vikings played, the Vikings barely won. The Lions have also been very close to winning their first game in the past few weeks. This game could be the game where they finally pull out a victory. The Vikings are coming off a loss to the 49ers and need to rebound this week to keep any hope of a playoff birth alive. The Lions have no hope of playoffs but are currently set to receive the first overall pick. The game gets started this Sunday at 1:00 pm.
Patriots vs. Bills – Who will lead the AFC East after Week 13?
The Monday Night Football game this week is set to be a banger. Patriots and Bills both are at the top of their game. The Patriots currently lead the AFC East, but the Bills could jump in front with a win. With only six weeks left, every success is necessary as the playoffs come closer. The Patriots are hoping to continue their insane six-game win streak. Patriots rookie Quarterback Mac Jones is looking to continue his campaign for rookie of the year. If he leads the Patriots to the top of the AFC, he will be guaranteed the honor. The game gets started Monday at 8:15 pm.
Ravens vs. Steelers – The next chapter in a classic rivalry
The Ravens and the Steelers are a rivalry that has defined the past 20 years in the NFL. From the old days of Ray Lewis and Troy Polamalu to the current days of Lamar Jackson and T.J. Watt. These two teams do not like each other, making for a great game. The Ravens come into this game tied for the top spot in the conference while the Steelers are trying to stay alive in the race for the playoffs. This year, the Steelers have struggled on offense while the Ravens have been flying on offense. The Steelers will have to try to keep the Ravens off the field by utilizing their run game to win the game. The game gets started this Sunday at 4:25 pm.
Broncos vs Chiefs – The Battle for the AFC West lead
The AFC West is up in the air, with every team being in contention for the top spot. Each unit is within a game of each other, and anything can happen. The defending AFC Champion Chiefs are one loss away from losing the AFC West lead, which they have held prominently for the past three years. The Broncos are coming off a big win against the Chargers in which the Broncos’ defense took over the game. For the Broncos to win this week, the defense will need to show up once again and stop the mighty Patrick Mahomes. This game could be one of the most important for these teams this season due to their place in the standings. The game gets started this Sunday at 8:20 pm.
Chargers vs. Bengals – Both teams need wins to remain in the playoff race.
The Los Angeles Chargers are currently in the fight of their lives for the top spot in the AFC West. A win could bring them to a tie with the Broncos vs. Chiefs game-winner. The Bengals are also fighting for their lives in a tight race for the AFC North with the Ravens. If the Bengals were to win, they could tie for the top spot in the division. Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow has been on a tear this season, throwing touchdown after touchdown to his stellar receiving core. The Chargers’ defense will have their hands full with a Bengals offense that has seemed unstoppable at times. The game gets started this Sunday at 1:00 pm.
