It has been a week to remember for the London Knights as they have stood out on a national level, acquired a new forward for the team, and had players selected to represent Canada in the World Juniors. This is the latest news surrounding the London Knights.
Trade Alert
The London Knights have a new player coming to the team. They traded a 2023 10th round pick for Right Winger Tye McSorley. McSorley had 8 points in 49 games with the Generals. McSorley has a rougher kind of play that brings toughness to the Knights. It sometimes leaves him in the penalty box, but this kind of player is necessary to protect your stars and keep the opponent in check. After a recent trade, the Knights have draft picks to trade after bolstering their draft pick stock for the next few years. This will be a good trade for the Knights that provides tough depth that will be worth the cost of a draft pick.

Capital City Challenge
London Knights draft picks Denver Barkey, Oliver Bonk, and Easton Cowan played in the Capital City Challenge. Barkey & Bonk won Gold in the challenge, while Cowan won silver. It shows how bright the franchise’s future is for the London Knights as all representatives came home with medals. In all games of the challenge, the 3 Knights players combined for 7 points.

Weekend Game Previews
This weekend is loaded with Knights games as they play two big games.
The first is a Friday night game against the Erie Otters. The Otters come into this game 5-13-1. They are bottom of the conference and are currently on a two-game losing streak. On the other hand, the Knights have played at a top-level. London has won 4 of their last five games and is on a roll.
The second is the Teddy Bear Toss game against the Sarnia Sting on Saturday night. London struggled and lost both games in the last two games against the Sting. The Knights will need to solve the Sting defense who shut them down this season. The Teddy Bear Toss is also an iconic date on the London Knights calendar. All Teddy Bears thrown on the ice are given to the Salvation Army for children in need.
If the Knights offense stays hot and the defense maintains their impressive run, the Knights should end the weekend with two wins.
