Medical Cannabis has made significant ground over the years. Marijuana and its compounds like CBD have several benefits. It can be used to reduce inflammation and pain, reduce anxiety, stimulate appetite, relax tight muscles and help fight against chronic diseases.
Another major benefit of cannabis is that it can help to escape from hard drugs addiction. Ryan Kelly, CEO of My Canna Clinic in London says that medical marijuana helps in two ways to fight against addiction of drugs like cocaine, heroine, etc.
“There are many medical compounds like CDB, which are known to relive some of the cravings that these people (hard drug users) are experiencing medically,” said Kelly. “Cannabis is both, something that can help you have less cravings and secondly, it’s gonna help you manage some of the stress in regard to the mental portion of addiction.”
CDB is the non psychoactive component of cannabis. CDB has gained massive interest over the last few years because of its varied range of benefits and also because of diversification and innovation in the cannabis industry.
Audio PlayerThere still remains a stigma around the use of Cannabis but Ryan believes it will go away slowly but surely. “People stigma will change over time because the future is now and people are starting to use cannabis for a variety of very serious conditions including cancer.”
Ryan also says that it important for people to understand how to use medical marijuana in the right way and not to abuse it.
“Doctors have this great saying in the cannabis scene called, ‘go slow and start low’, which means that they want you to try the product for the first time in a very similar way that you would try any other medicine.”
In regards of long term effects of cannabis use, Kelly says it mostly has to do with improper ingestion. “When you smoke cannabis it is toxic and you can have an effect that is carcinogenic, so it’s all about safe ingestion.”
Ryan says that he has not experienced any long term effects but as of this points it remains inconclusive that there are any long term effects of cannabis consumption.
