Public bike stations at Fanshawe College (Lobke D’Haens / XFM News)
Just like every year, the number of bike-thefts increased in the first month of the new school year. Very odd, when you think about all the time and effort the Fanshawe security department puts into raising awareness for the problem. Flyers, posters and even Insta-posts are used to spread the word, so where does it go wrong?
Usually when a bike gets stolen, it wasn’t locked in the first place.

Where can you park your bike?
Normal parking spots can be found all over campus near the entrances of most buildings, as indicated on the map below. Besides that, there is a secured bike compound, a private parking for bikes that is constantly on watch by the Security Department. Students can register for the private compound to give them access to this parking lot. The exact prices for this compound can be found on the Fanshawe College website.
