Tom Brady has posted on Social media that he is retiring from the NFL for good this time.
“Good morning guys, ill get to the point right away I’m retiring for good,” Brady says in his post on social media.
In the post, he gave many thanks to all the different people who have helped him during his career. “I really thank you guys so much, to every single one of you for supporting me. My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors. I could go on forever. There’s too many.”
Brady retires at the age of 45 after playing 23 seasons in the NFL. He is arguably the most successful quarterback of all time and arguably one of the greatest athletes in team sports.
He is the NFL career leader in passing yards with 89,214 and touchdowns with 649. He is the only player to win more than five super bowls and has been the MVP of the game five times.
Brady briefly retired after the 2022 season but it was short-lived as he came out of retirement to play one more season with the Tampa buccaneers. A question going around is whether he is done for good this time or if will he come out of retirement again.
“I think he is done for good, he has won the super bowl seven times what else is there for him to win,” said a Fanshawe student.
‘He has played longer than I’ve been alive I think it is time for him to stop playing and just relax,” said a Fanshawe student.
“I hope he comes back and plays for another team, but I doubt he will he’s been around forever probably time for him to call it quits,” said a Fanshawe Student
Time will only tell if Brady ever decides to make a comeback to play in the NFL. It was announced last year that when Brady retires from playing, he will join Fox Sports as a television analyst in a 10-year, $375 million deal.
