“Live Chick” Fanshawe College’s fashion store is launched a collaboration project with Goodwill industries. The name of the project is “see the worth” which is reimagined end-of-use textiles being turned into trendy coats.
Sarah Bedard a field coach in Fanshawe is saying that Goodwill is turning old textiles into a new one. Fanshawe fashion program is turning them into jackets “- it’s called “See the worth” program. Goodwill started a research project where they take end-of-use textiles and turn them into multiple new products. The best product that we’ve been selling so far is out Cocoon coat which was quite famous through this season. Our students also are able to go into their studio and purchase new pieces from their collection. Some of the other goods that we carry on is a tote bag and different purses. They are all fashionably made and designed. Some of the jacked might be also customized personally.”
The store has huge diversity of coats and jackets suitable to any taste and style. Beny is a student of Fashion marketing and management program in Fanshawe college and she is working in this store this semester “- I really enjoy gaining experience from this project. Because every lesson will be valuable in future. A lot of people from our program and not only purchasing from “See the worth” products.
