A person was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night.
The incident occurred between Adelaide Street North and Glenora Drive. London Police said in a statement that emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 5:35 pm.
In order to conduct an investigation, the police closed the segment of Adelaide Street between Fanshawe Park Road East and Glenora Drive. The road closure persisted for five hours before the London Police Service announced its reopening at 10:32 pm via X.
UPDATE: The LPS has confirmed that the 83 year-old man who was struck by the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are also continuing their investigation as they believe a second vehicle was involved.
