A London woman has been charged after a weapons investigation downtown last week.
At approximately 4:00 a.m., Friday, March 1st 2024, LPS officers arrived to the intersection of Wellington Rd and McClary Ave for a weapons investigation. There were multiple reports of a woman with a knife, and on arrival police found a female victim with apparent multiple stab wounds.
Officers learned that the female victim and suspect were known to each other were involved in an argument that resulted in the victim being injured. Police were then able to locate and arrest the suspect nearby.
During the arrest a knife was seized. The victim was then transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She has since been released from hospital.
As a result, 30-year-old Shenice Reddie, of London has been charged with
- aggravated assault
- possession of a prohibited weapon
- Failure to comply with a release order
Reddie is scheduled to re-appear in London court on March 6th 2024.
