Three London men are facing charges after officers recognized a wanted man driving a reported stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was reported stolen on Friday, later that day officers spotted the vehicle and the person driving it, who they say was wanted on outstanding warrants. Police then saw two other men enter the vehicle at different locations.
At around 11:25 a.m., officers attempted to stop the men in the vehicle while in a drive-thru. Police say the driver struck the unmarked police car multiple times with the front of the stolen vehicle and proceeded to drive over a curb and onto Dundas Street before fleeing eastbound with a damaged tire.
The stolen vehicle was later found approximately 100 meters off the roadway on Dakota Place, with the men having abandoned the vehicle.
All three suspects were later found and arrested, with a search of one of the accused finding the following:
- 6.8 grams of suspected black tar heroin; valued at $1,700
- 13.6 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine; valued at $1,360
- 3.4 grams of suspected pink fentanyl; valued at $850
- 1.5 grams of suspected cocaine; valued at $150
- 6.5 grams of suspected marihuana; valued at $65
- Vial of suspected cannabis oil; valued at $50.
Additionally, around 30 grams of suspected carfentanyl was said to be found in the stolen vehicle.
Three men, Timothy Brandon Miller, 37, Roy James Bourdeau, 48, and Rob James McVeeney, 35, all of London, have all been charged with the following:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000;
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Resisting arrest
Timothy Miller has also been charged with:
- Dangerous operation of a conveyance;
- Operation while prohibited;
- Failing to stop for police/pursuit;
- Failing to comply with undertaking; and
- Failing to stop at scene of accident.
All three of the accused are expected to appear in London court today.
