After 6:00 am this morning, London Police Services (LPS) along with other first aid responders arrived at the scene of a two-vehicle collision that happened in the area of Dundas Street and Kostis Street.
One of the vehicles involved in the collision was transporting diesel fuel and spilled large quantities of the load into a field. Fire crews worked alongside a hazmat team to help clean the mess and prevent the spill from expanding.
First responders have contacted Environment Canada to inform them about the matter
One person had to be extracted from a vehicle and was transported to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
LPS had to divert traffic from the area, before things opened up by noon.
