The city of London announced the opening of golf courses with both Thames Valley and the Fanshawe golf course starting to take bookings for the golf season. While it still may feel a little chilly outside Londoners still have plans to hit the courses. Brenden Talbot a man who has become very passionate about golfing says what he is looking forward to this year, and shared the time he started becoming interested in the game.
Talbot says “I started playing right before covid and then covid hit and I was a little upset. So there was a lot of excitement when it came back after they closed it down. But yeah every year is always so good and I love being out here, it is a little cold today but you know really excited to get back out here.”
Talbot was out enjoying the first T-off with his friends Michael and Garret when he made what was an amusing comment towards his friend. He said, “My buddy just bought A new 500 drive and he thinks he’s gonna fix his slice and the first T-off showed it hasn’t so, you know.” Talbot also added that the only thing they can hope for is for the weather to permit. Talbot and his friends look forward to another amazing year and being out on the course as often as possible.
Golf fan Noah Kerr is also extremely excited for the season to get underway and shared some of his plans for what should be a beautiful season. He says “I’m going to try and get out for some evening rounds when the course is usually dead. I’m also most excited about trying out new courses around the area as well.” Kerr also adds that he also enjoys watching golf and looks forward to watching that as well as the season for golfing gets underway.
The Thames Valley Golf Courses have been taking tons of bookings as last year they saw a record high of 120,000 rounds, this year the Thames Valley course celebrates its 100th season as well.
