London Police Service Road Safety Section are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that happened in London’s east end yesterday afternoon.
On Wednesday around 4:20 p.m., emergency crews responded to a serious collision on Beckworth Avenue involving a vehicle and a scooter.
Police say the male driving the scooter was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and has since succumbed to those injuries.
The driver of the motor vehicle stayed on the scene, police say.
The intersection was temporarily closed as investigators collected evidence and checked the area, police said.
LPS Road Safety Section has taken over the investigation as it remains ongoing.
Police are asking the public for information from anyone who was in the area between 4:20 p.m. to 4:25 p.m. and may have seen the collision.
They also ask for anyone who might have dashcam, residential, or business surveillance footage, to contact police.
