The Fanshawe Falcons volleyball teams had a strong showing this weekend, in their last games of the regular season.
The women opened the day against Mohawk College.
They fought a close battle, falling short 3-2. It’s their second 3-2 loss in a row, losing to Cambrian College on Feb. 1.
“I think the reasons we’re losing aren’t things we can fix in the short term,” says head coach Sean Pellow, “lack of experience, a little bit of lack of maturity, those are really our downfalls.”
The women’s team finished fifth in their conference, with a 10-6 record.
They’re set to face Canadore College in North Bay on Feb. 14 at 5 p.m.
The men’s team had a strong showing, beating Mohawk College 3-0. The Falcons dominated each set, with the closest being a 25-16 second-set win.
The men’s team finished with an 11-5 record, and are set to host the George Brown Huskies on Feb. 14 at 3 p.m.
