The Works has been a favorite burger spot for many London locals, but the restaurant has recently been hit with controversy following the spot hosting a high-profile anti-lockdown and anti-vaccine passport personality and his posse on Sunday. Chris Sky, the anti-vaccine protester posted to social media bragging that mask mandates and vaccine record checks were not followed. Sky’s past social media posts include posts that questioned the Holocaust as well as hateful comments made towards minorities.

The Middlesex-London Health Unit has followed up with the restaurant, and the legislation will now be followed or the business could face a steep fine in the future. Businesses found guilty of violating the provincial legislation start at a steep $100,000 fine. How this might effect the business of the craft burger and beer restaurant has yet to be seen.
