Brendon from Bird Friendly London
Bird Friendly London was started by a man named Brendon that has a passion for wildlife. The purpose of Brendon’s organization is “to help educate homeowners about how to make their homes and backyards safer for wild birds.” According to Brendon, one of the main reasons why so many birds die is because they crash into windows on people’s houses. Brendon has a plan to combat this. “Treating windows with visual markers applied on the outside in a uniform pattern that covers the entire glass is a really good way to prevent collisions and it actually does save lives.” When asked about his inspiration for the organization, Brendon mentioned that he feels like a lot of Londoners already care about birds, but they just aren’t aware of the harm that they’re causing. He wants to use his platform to educate Londoners on how they can make their homes more bird friendly.
