Population experts in London have found that the city’s population is expected to increase to 650,000 people by 2050 which is a gain of 200,000 people over the next 30 years.
With the city already experiencing major changes to accommodate the 450,000 residents London already has major projects are expected in the future and many Londoners have that on their mind when it comes to this statistic.
“If the population is to grow that much in that amount of time we will need a new highway” London resident Evan Delorme said when asked on his thoughts of London’s population growth.
Delorme voiced out that he among many others have concerns about the state of the roads here in London and that a new highway system built though the city similar to other big metro areas around London have.
Delorme also mentions that its not the amount of people but the conditions of travel that will play effect on deciding his future here as commutes would take longer if road work changes are not made.
