London Police are investigating after a man was stabbed downtown over the weekend.
Officers responded to multiple calls in the area of St George Street and Mill Street just after midnight on Sunday.
When they arrived, officers and bystanders worked together to tend to the victim, who suffered multiple stab wounds.
The man was transported to hospital, and remains in critical condition.
Bystanders provided a description of the suspect to police, who were able to locate the suspect quickly and arrest him.
As a result, a 20 year old London man has been charged with one count of aggravated assault.
“We are appealing to members of the public,” said Sgt. Sandasha Bough of London Police.
Despite the suspect being located by police, Bough says the investigation will continue if information is provided.
“Every investigation remains active and ongoing if we receive information from members of the public.”
