London native Jeremy Hansen will be honoured by Tim Horton’s as the chain rolls out limited edition Timbits boxes.
While the rest of Canada will stay on the Timbit train, Tim Horton’s locations in London will be referring to them as “Moonbits” as it would say on their limited edition box.
The limited edition “Moonbits” box will come in packs of 10, and will display a special message about the upcoming Artemis II mission.
Hansen will be part of Artemis II, the first crewed mission to the moon in over 50 years. This would also make him the first Canadian to go to the moon.
Hansen and crew are set for a 10 day mission, taking off from Florida onboard the Orion spacecraft. The mission will consist of a lunar flyby, testing for future missions, and travel beyond the far side of the moon. The crew is expected to land in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego when the mission is completed.
The earliest possible launch date for Artemis II is set for February 6th.
