London weather has been, eventful, to say the least. We’ve went from temperatures in the mid-teens to a low of minus 6 that felt like 14 below. And that was just Wednesday.
To summarize literally how polarizing the weather here was in February, the low of minus 12 on the 19th and the high of 15 just 9 days later is a 27 degree swing in temperatures.
A common saying for the month of March is “In like a lion, out like a lamb.” So just how “lion” and “lamb” like will this month be?
Weather network’s forecast for the next few weeks is promising for those who enjoy temperatures in the positives. Even though the start of the month looks to be the strongest.
And while this is certainly more consistent weather than what we’ve seen last month, it’s actually the start of the month that lifts us above our historical average for March.
AccuWeather’s outlook for the second half of the month actually has a cooler temperature outlook in comparison to the first half. And while the highs are projected to be mostly single digits what could be a bright spot is London has zero days of weather with more than a centimetre of snow. Which is definitely a stark contrast to February.
March as a whole looks pretty mild, especially compared to the roller coaster that was February, but even though it might not be considered a “lion” expect a chillier end to the month than beginning.
