East London businesses Gino’s Pizza and Uncle Nick’s Souvlaki have seen a rise in business now that the school year is back in session.
A worker at Gino’s Pizza spoke with XFM news to share his thoughts on the matter.
“They definitely help our store a lot, right? It’s over 20,000 students came back here and we see the beneficial from all the students, from lunchtime and then after hours, because a lot of residents, they live inside the residence as well, right? So they order pizza through us. So definitely benefits us a lot.”
Uncle Nick’s Souvlaki worker went on to share ” t’s good to see students coming back, but it’s a fact a little bit, yes, I can tell the truth, but it’s very happy to see, it’s very exciting.”
One Fanshawe student went on to share “I go about once or twice a week, but Nick’s Souvlaki is great. If you want to go to Euro, so like sometimes four times a week.”
Another Fanshawe student had this to say “Sometimes I get something quickly from Circle K but the business I go to most, I would say is Fadi’s Shawarma.”
